SHINY LIST

nickname: Reides
species: kingdra
origin game: emerald
encounters: unknown
method used: rng manipulation
notes: this pokemon is extremely special to me. i hatched reides in the seafloor cavern of the hoenn region, and i went on to make him my very first ribbon master. reides travelled with me through each and every generation of pokemon, collecting all of the ribbons and marks available to him. he is an absolutely TREASURED member of my pokemon collection. you can read about his ribbon mastery experience in a series of posts that are on my personal site's ribbon master page, and you can also check out an abridged forme of his story here. he is named after my very first dnd oc, reides.
nickname: Canto
species: mew
origin game: emerald (japanese version)
encounters: unknown
method used: rng manipulation
notes: the reason for my japanese emerald playthrough...!!! i wanted to experience the old sea map event for the first time and figured i'd rng hunt for a shiny mew while i was at it. the experience was really awesome (i hope that pokemon introduces more events like this!!!), and i went on to ribbon master this mew, too. i named them 'canto' as a reference to both poetry/songs as well as the kanto region. the page dedicated to their ribbon mastery journey is here on my personal site.
nickname: Gelato
species: totodile

notes: i decided to rng hunt for a shiny totodile in emerald in order to ribbon master one, since totodile is my favourite starter pokemon of all time. i wanted this totodile to be really special, though, so i actually completed the emerald pokedex in order to get her from professor birch! i named her 'gelato' after the dessert as well as the first shirt i ever got in animal crossing for the gamecube, haha! her ribbon mastery journey is chronicled here on my personal site. she took it on alongside jude the snubbull, who isn't shiny but is just as cherished!!
